actually maar skta ha, when he will take them, he'll suffer frm grade 5 diarrhea, nd grade 3 dehydration! alongwith hypokalemia nd hyponatremia with severe acidosis! due whch ventricular arrhythmia can also occur, nd hence cardiogenic shock! so yes.. go eat em all bro

With my VA MM co-presentator PGY3 Takahiro Tsushima - case of CAP due to Legionella- with 0 resp. symptoms & hyponatremia & diarrhea. One take home- extra pulmonary s/s common in Legionaries- but not sensitive and specific enough to rule out other etiologies of CAP

It’s imperative to evaluate hyponatremia patient’s volume status as it dictates treatment. Give IVF to hypovolemic hyponatremia (vomiting, diarrhea, dehydration); fluid restrict in euvolemic (SIADH) and hypervolemic (renal/liver/heart failure).
