I would disagree with your disparaging of private practice. My clinic has transplant, GN, kidney stones, resistant hypertension, hyponatremia, chronic hyperkalemia. Dialysis rounds include a mix of HD, PD, home hemo and acute kidney injury
Hyponatremia in dialysis population has been kind of ignored. Correction rate should not be different than the normal population. One challenge is how to deal with hyponatremia in patients who need acute dialysis.
This week was mostly dysnatremias. Severe hyponatremia - not on dialysis, on IHD and on CRRT. Couldn't help the hypernatremias that much, because - well, ICU.
It was fun because they were all so different!
